There are two main focal points when it comes to Christmas, the tree and the table. I must admit I love both. The tree is a family affair, we hang all the decorations together, put on the star and turn on the lights…and there it is, beautiful and glowing, just waiting for Santa. Then there is the table, left mainly to me (if hosting), the table is a very special place, it’s the place where we all come together…we share a meal, share stories, laugh and watch our bellies grow. A meal shared reminds us how lucky we are, we know we are because we are together, surrounded by love, with abundance…and to me that is what Christmas is about. A reminder that we have all we need and that we are loved. Above is my table edit, this season I seem to be lovin’ gold (usually I’m a silver girl), I would use the wreath on the table with candles inside or hung on a wall close to the table. I’m also lovin’ the confetti wine glasses, so so fabulous! Happy entertaining with loved ones!
I just love decorating with glass jars and have a little collection growing – mason jars, milk bottles, glass bottles of all sizes… When I saw these gorgeous gold stickers (@larkstore), I instantly thought of Christmas and thought they would look great on said jars. Before starting, wash the jars thoroughly and allow to completely dry (note, stickers are like band-aids they don’t like water). Place stickers onto jars, I chose to spell out words. So easy but I think, very effective. Decorate with flowers or candles. Use jars as a centrepiece, to decorate shelves or even steps. You could even personalise everyone’s glass on the table with their initial!

I love love love this look. Romantic, elegant, sophisticated, natural, simple and chic all at the same time. Choose one structured piece and pair with something floaty and exaggerated, for instance team an A line skirt with an oversized tee or drapey top. You are aiming for polished yet casual – no piece should be too bold. For this colour palette blend nudes, creams, ivories, pale pinks, bronzes and golds. Anyone for high tea or a garden party? Beautiful subtle goodness!
Ps. A shout out to my munchkin who is 3 today – happy birthday darling xx
…and what a crush I have. I just adore all the hues metallics now come in. Metallics can be dressed up with over the top jewellery and heels or for a more subtle look dressed down with white and black basics and skinny jeans. Either way, they pack a punch and ooze glam and sophistication. Although this is not a new trend, it is definitely everywhere this year and I must say each year the silhouettes are even more stunning. An oldie we should all try when we are after that extra something! Here are some of my picks…
Do you love metallics? I would love to hear what you would team your favourite metallics with.
Lately, everything seems to be adorned by print – from bold to subtle, paisley to floral. In everything you can imagine, tops, pants, skirts, jackets, scarves and even headbands. This current trend seems to have taken over and I must admit I am quite smitten by it. Below are some pieces I am lovin’, for extra impact team with solid bold colours like gold and ruby.
Ps. The pants look amazing on…I couldn’t resist.
