Seekdarelove is the lifestyle blog from Chantal the designer behind Birdcage Press. Chantal is a wife, mother of two gorgeous boys, daughter, friend, dreamer, believer and lover of many many things, ideas and possibilities…

As a child, Chantal spent her days creating and crafting. She has dabbled in everything from stamping, painting, pottery, jewellery, card making and sewing. A keen reader and believer that no knowledge is wasted, Chantal loves books, magazines and inspirational quotes. In her twenties Chantal started keeping mood books – sketch books filled with cutouts, quotes, all types of finds and inspiration. They also serve as a beautiful keepsake of the big events in her life, notably her wedding, moving out, buying a house and having children.

Moving into a corporate role straight from University, it wasn’t until having children (known as her munchkins) that Chantal wanted to reignite her creative passions. After enrolling in a short course on screen printing in 2012, her creative tank was refueled and she was ready to try something new. Birdcage Press was born, followed soon after with this blog seekdarelove.

Chantal’s passions are graphic design, styling and decorating for fashion and interiors. She loves taking fabrics, textures, accessories and objects and transforming the way a person or space feels. Chantal believes the underlining concept for fashion and interiors are the same – surround yourself with the things you love! If you are drawn to it, you can usually make it work. Trust your ‘little’ voice and be confident with your decisions. Remember if things really don’t work they can be replaced, there are no mistakes just lessons. Finally, have fun with colour, composition and scale.

Seekdarelove unites all Chantal’s passions from fashion, style, craft, decor and the written word. It is a celebration of all things creative and inspiring. Thankyou so much for stopping by.

xx
